That means confirming the service size, the condition of the terminations, and whether there is a spare double-pole space in a location that keeps the leads short — and telling you plainly if there is not, because in that case protection is a conversation about the panel, not about the device.

We then check grounding and bonding, because a protective device installed on a system with a compromised ground gives you a green light and no protection. When the install is straightforward we do it the same visit. When it is not, you get the scope and the number before anything is started, and a call if what we find behind the cover changes either one.
