About Hermitage
Unlike the older communities closer in, Hermitage is largely a product of the suburban decades. Subdivisions went up steadily from the 1970s onward and kept going through the 1990s and 2000s, so the typical property here is not a century-old farmhouse — it is a family home somewhere between twenty-five and fifty years old, on a street laid out all at once, with the electrical installation the builder specified at the time.
